Legal sports betting in Michigan launched on March 11, 2020, less than three months after Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed the “Lawful Sports Betting Act” into law. The new law allows wagering on a wide variety of sports, including college sports. Bettors must be at least 21 years of age.
